The US Natural Gas futures edged up as a bounce from near one month low stayed in place. The counter currently trades up 0.80% at $5.15 per mmbtu amid rising equities and crude oil but rising US gas inventories capped upside. MCX Natural Gas futures are trading at Rs 386.40 per mmbtu, up 0.36% on the day. The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported a 92 Bcf injection into natural gas storage for the week ending October 15. The EIA's 92 Bcf injection was the sixth in a row that exceeded the five-year average. The five-year average for the current week's report period is a build of 69 Bcf, while the year-earlier period saw a net injection of 49 Bcf. The total working gas in storage as of October 15 stood at 3,461 Bcf, 458 Bcf below year-ago levels and 151 Bcf below the five-year average, EIA said.
