COMEX Silver futures soared today in Asia, adding to recent gains amid a sustained upmove in precious metals. The US dollar index has softened a bit after hitting one week high and currently lingers around 105 mark. Silver has been witnessing excellent bargain hunting after testing three week low and the COMEX Silver futures spiked around 2.80% on the day in last session. The commodity currently trades at $28.77 per ounce, up 1.40% on the day and hitting around three week top. Traders are waiting for the Gold and Silver import data from India next week. MCX Silver futures added 1.78% in last session to end at Rs 84499 per kg with a massive 9% surge in open interest and 35% spike in volumes. The counter currently trades at Rs 85458 per kg, up 1.13% on the day.
