Large precious metals speculators sharply increased their net long positions in the Gold futures markets for a second week, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Gold futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net position of 171705 contracts in the data reported through November 21, 2023. This was spurt of 16329 contracts and pushed the net longs around four month high.
