Large energy speculators continued to cut their net long positions in the crude oil futures markets very marginally, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Crude oil futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net long position of 207324 contracts in the data reported through November 21, 2023. This was a dip of 8410 net contracts. The net longs are currently at a four month low.
