Finland's producer prices saw a continued decline in August, primarily driven by lower prices for electricity, basic metals, chemicals, and chemical products, according to data from Statistics Finland. The year-over-year producer price index dropped by 8.4%, although it slowed down compared to the 10.0% decrease in the previous month. This marked the fifth consecutive monthly decline. The decrease in prices was primarily attributed to lower costs of electricity, oil products, and basic metals, but partially offset by higher prices for machinery and equipment compared to the previous year.
