Spain producer prices experienced their most significant annual decline on record, plunging by 10% in August, largely due to cheaper energy prices. Excluding energy, inflation moderated slightly to 1.7%. On a monthly basis, producer prices rebounded with a 1.2% increase, reversing the previous month's dip. The annual decline was driven by a substantial 29.3% drop in energy prices and a 5.8% decrease in intermediate goods prices. However, consumer goods and capital goods prices saw increases of 9.8% and 2.4%, respectively.
