Gold prices rose toward $4,400 an ounce on Friday as investors looked forward to the US July jobs report for insights on the labor market and the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate plans. MCX October gold futures increased by 1.5% to Rs 150,990 per 10 grams. Silver futures also rose nearly 5% to $64.75 an ounce, driven by safe-haven demand amid Middle East tensions and steady dollar index near 99.95.
