Gold futures dropped over 1% to about $4,450 an ounce on Monday, continuing losses from the prior day. Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh's comments on persistent inflation increased expectations for tighter monetary policy, leading to a stronger US dollar and higher Treasury yields. Despite the decline, gold is still expected to gain over 10% in August, while MCX October gold futures fell 1.1% to Rs.1,54,580 per 10 grams.
